Anna Funk Collection
Biographical SketchAnna Funk, wife of Sylvester Funk, was the daughter of David Toews and thus grand daughter of Jacob Toews. The Funks lived most of their lives in Saskatoon. This notebook was donated to the Archives at the end of 2010.Scope and ContentThe Jacob Toews (1838-1923) notebook is a hardcover book with blank pages, lined in blue, in which Jacob Toews wrote by hand 60 pages of his comments on the Mennonite Catechism and added ten pages of information on his family. The hand writing is in German in clear Kurrentschrift in red ink for Bible verses and in black of other text.
